Dear Friend,

In Leaving My Father’s House: A Journey to Conscious Femininity, Woodman speaks of the symbolic act of leaving the “inner father” — the internalized patriarchal structures that uphold perfectionism, control, and disconnection from the body. In her words:

“The psyche knows how to heal, but we must give it the opportunity to tell its story.”
Marion Woodman

This circle offers that opportunity — for your body, your soul, and your ancestral line.

This circle is for you if…

Are a woman or femme; a healer, therapist, poet, writer, actor, mentor, or creative guide of any kind — devoted to personal and collective transformation

Feel the presence of the inner patriarch — that voice that demands perfection, performance, and control

Have struggled with:

  • A distant, critical, or emotionally absent father

  • An overprotective or dominating father

  • A father disempowered in his own lineage

  • Grief or guilt around a father who has passed

Notice generational patterns around:

  • Financial scarcity or instability

  • Suppressed voice or creative expression

  • Unhealthy dynamics with power and authority A distant, critical, or emotionally absent father

In This Sacred Space, We Will:

Engage in guided ancestral writing practices to hear the voices and wisdom in the father line

Participate in mini family constellations to reveal hidden loyalties and generational burdens

Open space for communal grieving and celebration, honoring not just our fathers but the grandfathers including the Ancients before them

Reflect on the wounded and the well fathers — from both psychological and ancestral perspectives

Invoke the memory of a pre-patriarchal/colonial father (s) — the ones who held structure without domination and resource without control

Why Work with the Father Line?

Through the lens of Family Constellations, the paternal line often reveals core ancestral themes:

Power and Authority

  • Inherited patterns of victim-perpetrator dynamics

  • Difficulty owning personal authority or trusting leadership

Voice and Communication:

  • Silence, repression, or fear of visibility

  • Emotional disconnection passed through generations

Money and Structure:

  • Patterns of debt, poverty, or financial instability

  • Internalized scarcity or disempowerment around receiving

“The father is destiny.”

Carl Jung

The father’s place in the family soul deeply affects how we experience the world.

By acknowledging the full truth — the pain and the possibility — of the father line, we make room for groundedness, prosperity, and sovereign embodiment.

Themes We’ll Touch On:

Healing the Inner Patriarch

  • The internal voice that enforces control, suppression, rationality over intuition

The Journey of Descent

  • Like Inanna’s mythic descent into the underworld — we move through shadow Father patterns to reemergence

Embodiment and the Feminine

  • Reclaim the body: sexuality, sensuality and strength as sacred feminine intelligence.

Individuation and Story

  • Each woman's story is a symbolic map toward wholeness, sovereignty, and soul truth.

“The great task of life is to bring the personal and the ancestral into conscious harmony.”
Clarissa Pinkola Estés

This is that moment of letting go.

That moment of harmony.

Please join this powerful gathering to share in a different kind of Father's Day-one where we call forth the healing and evolution of our Ancestral Father line..

What You'll Experience:

  • Writing with the Ancestors

  • Mini family constellations to illuminate the unseen in the Father Line

  • Somatic meditation and emotional integration

  • Grieving and celebration as pathways to restoration

  • Optional writing prompts and reflection guide before and after the circle

This is a live event with limited spaces to maintain intimacy and depth.

Let us gather. Let us remember. Let us rewrite the story of the father — together.

Kind words about Tanya’s Constellations Work:

I had never heard of constellation work, but I had worked with Tanya before (on writing my book) and trusted her. I had a profound experience during our ninety-minute session. When I reached out to Tanya, I told her I wanted to work on fear. I’ve carried a lot of fear in my body since childhood, particularly because my ancestry comes from a persecuted group. The fear I walk around with doesn’t match my daily life, which is filled with love and beauty. I wanted to address a significant disconnect between my inner and outer world.

During the session, Tanya guided me through a process where I connected with ancestors who were both specific and general. With each ‘star’ we visited in the constellation, I had somatic sensations—some contracting, some expanding. I felt intense emotions, both pleasant and unpleasant, as we moved through six nodes in the constellation. Clearly, something was shifting.

At the end of the session, when Tanya explained who each of the nodes represented, I felt dramatic relief, especially regarding my immediate family. It also gave me valuable insight into core beliefs I held about my family system. Tanya is a gifted facilitator in both Ancestral Constellation work and writing. I highly recommend her.

Working with Tanya in the Family Constellation session was truly transformative. The session helped me uncover profound insights, like the surprising image of a ‘wall’ representing my drive—something I never would have imagined. Tanya’s unique approach, using rocks to symbolize forces in my life, created a powerful and deeply healing experience. I left feeling a renewed sense of clarity and inner safety that continues to guide me.

I especially appreciated the support and connection that emerged, particularly with the well ancestor who stood behind me, offering a deep sense of guidance. The experience opened up new internal space to explore my drive and limitations in ways I never thought possible. I highly recommend Tanya’s constellation work to anyone seeking insight, healing, and a deeper connection to their own story.

I’m so grateful for my experience with Family Ancestral Constellations. From the start, I felt deeply aligned with the process and trusted Tanya completely as a facilitator (she helped me write my memoir), which made the journey both safe and exciting.

Before the session, I was dealing with heavy family matters during a stressful time. After the session, I felt a calm, quiet peace settling in. It was incredibly healing to connect with my ancestors in such a personal and vivid way. The moment I realized I’m supported by a long line of family, it felt like my family tree reached out and gave me a hug. 🌱💗

Since then, I’ve noticed a shift—I’m calmer, more grounded, and more open to receiving love and kindness from everywhere. I no longer feel alone in my journey.

I highly recommend this service to anyone seeking deep healing. Tanya’s facilitation is so supportive, creating space for new insights about ourselves and our ancestral connections. Thank you, Tanya, for guiding me with such care and presence. I’m deeply grateful.

It is a rare experience for me to find a collaborator such as Tanya to do my deep work. She has an incredible capacity for insight and the ability to hold space for what is, meeting me exactly where I am.

My first constellation session was clear, efficient, and abundant—giving me food for thought that continues to reveal itself. In this crazy world, wondering how one can contribute, working with Tanya in this way feels like its own necessary and important form of activism—for both of us.

Working with Tanya Taylor Rubinstein on ancestral constellation was truly transformative. I’ve done ancestral healing for years, mostly focusing on ancient, healed ancestors, but Tanya’s approach focused on the recent ancestors—those still carrying unresolved trauma.

During our blind constellation, the focus turned to my father and paternal grandfather, a man I knew little about. Through the process, I gained deep insight into how my father’s relationship with his own father mirrored the struggles I had with him. I also developed a new empathy for my grandfather’s wounds—his anger and criticism of his children—and saw how that energy had been passed down.

Most powerfully, I began to recognize gifts from my father I had overlooked before. This work is helping me heal and shift how I move through the world. If you’re ready to heal generational wounds and rewrite family narratives, I highly recommend Tanya’s work. It’s a powerful way to shift old patterns and gain a deeper understanding of your family’s story.

Tanya holds impeccable space that is steeped in the sacred—specifically connected to and deeply held by the wisdom of the land and the helpful ancestors who have come before us.

Working with her gave me insight into a pattern I had been operating from since childhood. Once identified, I could feel my system being ‘unburdened’ by the weight I had been carrying.

A subtle release has been occurring since our session, and I feel I now have much greater access to my inner wisdom and higher self. I’ve also been able to set important boundaries with people from whom I had previously tolerated unhealthy behavior.

I feel much more inner authority, and life feels a bit easier. I am hopeful for what lies ahead.

Mystic, Intuitive Guide & Spiritual Healer

Before the session, I felt overwhelmed by emotional and spiritual heaviness, stuck in patterns I couldn’t break. After the Ancestral Constellations session, I felt a powerful shift—lighter, with an emotional release that wasn’t sad but deeply freeing. The session illuminated my family’s dynamics and the ancestral ties that were holding me back. It was eye-opening and affirming.

I’ve noticed lasting changes in my attitude and how I relate to family. I highly recommend this transformative work to anyone ready to heal and move forward in their lives. Tanya is an amazing facilitator, with incredible insight and depth.

ABOUT

Tanya Taylor Rubinstein

Founder, Storytelling Coach, and Ancestral Constellations Facilitator, Creator, Writing with the Ancestors, Somatic and Life Monologue Process

Tanya Taylor Rubenstein launched her first business, The Life Monologue Project, 25 years ago when her daughter was just three years old and she was navigating a divorce. A neurodivergent performing artist and writer, Tanya had no formal business background, only strong instincts and a deep commitment to story.

Within three years, she was supporting herself and her daughter, had published her book The Cancer Monologue Project, and had helped over 100 people share their stories on stage. Her work had already been featured in national outlets including Spirituality & Health, O Magazine and on NPR.

During this time, Tanya also created the Solo Performance Boot Camp based on her own background as a solo performance artist.

Actors, musicians and other creatives began flying to Santa Fe, where she lived, to work with her on writing and performing their one-person shows.

She also ran a well-known yearlong solo performance workshop that culminated in live performances by her students. Entirely instinct-led, she managed to make a humble but sustaining living through these offerings.

In 2013, she partnered with author and editor Candice Walsh to co-facilitate yearlong memoir-writing workshops.

Over the years, Tanya was invited to teach and speak at conferences such as Bioneers in the Bay Area, and at writers' events alongside luminaries like Natalie Goldberg, Julia Cameron, and Anne Lamott.

She also collaborated with Ann Marie Houghtailing and Ann Randolph to offer solo performance retreats. Despite these incredible experiences, she continued to struggle financially and knew her work deserved a wider platform to serve more people.

By 2018, Tanya began receiving business coaching from people she met primarily online. Attending Wisdom 2.0, she realized there was a whole world of support for teachers and entrepreneurs learning to grow and scale their businesses.

While some of the coaching she received was helpful and some wasn’t, the journey ultimately led her to create her own process and step into full leadership.

In 2020, during the pandemic, Tanya created Somatic Writing, a method to help authors write their books through embodied, trauma-informed practices.

In 2023, after experiencing a mental health crisis and going through another divorce, she took a full year off from her business. During this time of healing, she became certified as an Ancestral Constellation Facilitator.

In the fall of 2024, she relaunched her business under the name Ancestral Restorations

Today, she continues to help people write their monologues and memoirs through the lens of intergenerational healing.

She is also sharing the tools, systems, and processes that have stabilized her own business and income through her newest body of work: The Ancestral Entrepreneur.

No matter how difficult the journey has been, Tanya considers her work as a business owner and creative guide to be the soul work of her life.

As the world continues to quake with terror, uncertainty, and political upheaval, she believes that having one’s own business can literally be life-saving.
