“There is no more profound connection—or more intricate wound—than the one we carry from our mothers

There’s a quiet thread that hasn’t yet unwound.

A silence in the body. A subtle contraction in the voice.

A feeling—hard to name—that something still lives just beneath all of it.

Something old. Something heavy.

Something Ancestral.

And if you follow that thread—

If you track it gently, with honesty, with reverence—

It always leads to the mother.

Not just your personal mother, but the Mother Line.

Your lineage.

Your inheritance.

The women who came before you, who couldn’t speak, but quietly raged.

The grief they passed down in silence.

The shame they carried in their hips, in their hearts, in their throats.

The power they had no place to put—because they were mothering inside of patriarchy, inside of capitalism, inside of dominion.

And they became our mothers—

They became us.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve done decades of spiritual work, therapy, creative expression, somatic practices, all of it—and it does help.

It is not for nothing.

And yet, at the core of our being—especially for those of us who had critical mothers—there is an ongoing awareness,

A hum that lives in the body.

It often shows up as chronic self-doubt and low self-esteem.

Feeling responsible for others' emotions and trying to avoid conflict at all costs.

Finding ourselves in one-sided relationships where we give more than we receive.

Carrying a deep sense of shame or a feeling of “being too much” or “not enough.”

Clinging to unhealthy relationships just to avoid being alone.

Being worried about being disliked or misunderstood.

We are hyper-aware of others’ needs—but not our own.

In our circle, we will be reaching back in our lines to interrupt these patterns by being together as we connect with the Ancient mothers, the wise ones, our sacred Motherlands to re-weave our relationship to mothers and mothering on this blessed New Moon.

This is the portal we’ll open together under April’s New Moon:

Writing & Constellating the Ancestral Mother

Speak what was once unspeakable

Write directly into the wound we inherited, and the wound we passed on.

Call in the pain, and the power that lives behind it

Connect with the well mothers in the lineage—those who predated or were uncorrupted by oppression

Expand your relationship with mothering, being mothered voice, creative expression, and self-worth

This class is for you if:

You’ve done deep emotional and spiritual work, but know that something in the maternal line still isn't settled.

Your relationship with your mother (or with motherhood in general) or with your daughters holds complexity, grief, or terror.

You long to mother your children, your community, or your creative work from a more whole, rooted place

You feel yourself holding back, editing yourself when you write, speak, or share publicly—becuase you're afraid of her judgement, wrath or exile.

You’re ready to move beyond personal healing and into lineage healing

_“There wasn’t going to be a way for our mothers to mother us perfectly.

Because they were swimming in shame.

in terror, in scarcity, no matter how many external resources they had.

And their shame became ours. Their terror became ours...

Even the most well intentioned mothers were shaped by patriarchal systems where women were taught to compete, even with their daughter's for love, power, validation.

And we internalized all of it.”

What is the mother wound?

The mother wound is the intergenerational imprint left by systems of domination—especially patriarchy and capitalism—on the sacred act of mothering.

It is not just about personal relationship. It’s collective. Cultural. Ancestral.

It shows up when:

We shrink our visibility to avoid upsetting or outshining our mothers

We fear writing or speaking honestly, because of internalized terror of being punished, abandoned, or misunderstood

We parent from anxiety, shame, or control—repeating unconscious patterns we swore we’d end

We can’t rest, soften, or receive because we’ve learned that survival means staying useful

We carry deep sadness or rage around being unseen, unheld, unmothered

But underneath that wound
is a deeper story. A more ancient mother. A line of women who remember.

What we’ll do in this 90-minute circle:

Write directly into the wound

We’ll start with guided writing prompts that bypass the surface and bring us into the raw, trembling center of what hasn’t yet been named. This is not for performance—this is for truth.

Constellate with a well maternal ancestor

In paired partner work, you’ll be guided to call in a maternal ancestor—known or unknown, individual or collective, human or not—who is well. Who existed before the rupture. Who mothered from love, not survival. You will feel her.

Work with the new moon energy to set intention

The new moon is fertile ground. Together, we’ll plant the seed of a new pattern in the lineage—one of voice, truth, creativity, and soft power.

Explore the link between voice, writing, and the mother wound

We’ll speak into the fear of being “too much,” “too loud,” “too honest.”

And we’ll begin to write, speak, and live from a place that doesn’t apologize anymore.

You will leave this circle with:

  • A felt sense of connection to the well ancestral mother

  • Written pieces that speak the unspoken—gently, courageously

  • Deepened clarity around the root of self-silencing and people-pleasing

  • Ancestral altar suggestions to continue this healing beyond the session

  • An embodied experience of what it feels like to connect with the energy of mothering you've always longed for.

  • Liberation—not just for you, but for your entire maternal line

_“We are the ones who can break the cycle—not by fixing our mothers, but by remembering who they were before they forgot themselves.

We are the ones who mother differently. Who write the truth. Who reclaim the root.

We are the daughters and the ancestors.”_

This is not therapy. This is lineage-level liberation.

If you’re ready to write what you’ve never dared write,

if you’re ready to feel the presence of a mother who is well,

if you’re ready to stop carrying what was never yours—

Then join us.

Come with your grief.

Come with your rage.

Come with your longing.

Bring your journal.

Bring your lineage.

And bring the version of you who’s been waiting for the mother to come home.

Kind words about Tanya’s Memoir Mentoring:

As soon as our first meeting I felt seen, understood and safe. Tanya walked me through the process so I would be prepared for the journey ahead and kept the pace even when I lost motivation along the way.

I would recommend Tanya to anyone who feels overwhelmed or afraid of writing their memoir but doesn’t want to regret leaving their story untold. Be ready for an experience of a lifetime; be ready to work hard, reach deeper into your story and most of all be ready for the healing and transformative experience of owning your life’s narrative once and for all.

Tanya was able to cultivate my skills in a way that gave a framework and a timeframe to see this my book through from birth to creation. As a professional coach myself, I know good coaching works, but Tanya's approach that is equal parts pragmatic and creative, supported my effort in a way that would be unmatched by someone else. My time with Tanya has provided my work and my life a quantum transformation. If you're looking to level up in life and in your creative work, look no further.

Tanya has been the ancient midwife of my story. She cradled me, wept with me, sang me through my grief, coaxed my words, and gently guided me to the courage to birth my voice. She once said to me, “I can’t promise you safety here.” In its place, she supported me in the ultimate radical soul liberation - the telling of my story.

Kind words about Tanya’s Ancestral Work:

I had never heard of constellation work, but I had worked with Tanya before (on writing my book) and trusted her. I had a profound experience during our ninety-minute session. When I reached out to Tanya, I told her I wanted to work on fear. I’ve carried a lot of fear in my body since childhood, particularly because my ancestry comes from a persecuted group. The fear I walk around with doesn’t match my daily life, which is filled with love and beauty. I wanted to address a significant disconnect between my inner and outer world.

During the session, Tanya guided me through a process where I connected with ancestors who were both specific and general. With each ‘star’ we visited in the constellation, I had somatic sensations—some contracting, some expanding. I felt intense emotions, both pleasant and unpleasant, as we moved through six nodes in the constellation. Clearly, something was shifting.

At the end of the session, when Tanya explained who each of the nodes represented, I felt dramatic relief, especially regarding my immediate family. It also gave me valuable insight into core beliefs I held about my family system. Tanya is a gifted facilitator in both Ancestral Constellation work and writing. I highly recommend her.

Writer and Sculptor

Working with Tanya in the Family Constellation session was truly transformative. The session helped me uncover profound insights, like the surprising image of a ‘wall’ representing my drive—something I never would have imagined. Tanya’s unique approach, using rocks to symbolize forces in my life, created a powerful and deeply healing experience. I left feeling a renewed sense of clarity and inner safety that continues to guide me.

I especially appreciated the support and connection that emerged, particularly with the well ancestor who stood behind me, offering a deep sense of guidance. The experience opened up new internal space to explore my drive and limitations in ways I never thought possible. I highly recommend Tanya’s constellation work to anyone seeking insight, healing, and a deeper connection to their own story.

— Julie Rehmeyer

Author, Award-Winning Science Writer, College Professor

I’m so grateful for my experience with Family Ancestral Constellations. From the start, I felt deeply aligned with the process and trusted Tanya completely as a facilitator (she helped me write my memoir), which made the journey both safe and exciting.

Before the session, I was dealing with heavy family matters during a stressful time. After the session, I felt a calm, quiet peace settling in. It was incredibly healing to connect with my ancestors in such a personal and vivid way. The moment I realized I’m supported by a long line of family, it felt like my family tree reached out and gave me a hug. đŸŒ±đŸ’—

Since then, I’ve noticed a shift—I’m calmer, more grounded, and more open to receiving love and kindness from everywhere. I no longer feel alone in my journey.

I highly recommend this service to anyone seeking deep healing. Tanya’s facilitation is so supportive, creating space for new insights about ourselves and our ancestral connections. Thank you, Tanya, for guiding me with such care and presence. I’m deeply grateful.

It is a rare experience for me to find a collaborator such as Tanya to do my deep work. She has an incredible capacity for insight and the ability to hold space for what is, meeting me exactly where I am.

My first constellation session was clear, efficient, and abundant—giving me food for thought that continues to reveal itself. In this crazy world, wondering how one can contribute, working with Tanya in this way feels like its own necessary and important form of activism—for both of us.

— Sarah Kerstin Gross

Caterer, Writer, Mystic

Working with Tanya Taylor Rubinstein on ancestral constellation was truly transformative. I’ve done ancestral healing for years, mostly focusing on ancient, healed ancestors, but Tanya’s approach focused on the recent ancestors—those still carrying unresolved trauma.

During our blind constellation, the focus turned to my father and paternal grandfather, a man I knew little about. Through the process, I gained deep insight into how my father’s relationship with his own father mirrored the struggles I had with him. I also developed a new empathy for my grandfather’s wounds—his anger and criticism of his children—and saw how that energy had been passed down.

Most powerfully, I began to recognize gifts from my father I had overlooked before. This work is helping me heal and shift how I move through the world. If you’re ready to heal generational wounds and rewrite family narratives, I highly recommend Tanya’s work. It’s a powerful way to shift old patterns and gain a deeper understanding of your family’s story.

— Epiphany Jordan,

Author, Journalist, Tarot Reader

Tanya holds impeccable space that is steeped in the sacred—specifically connected to and deeply held by the wisdom of the land and the helpful ancestors who have come before us.

Working with her gave me insight into a pattern I had been operating from since childhood. Once identified, I could feel my system being ‘unburdened’ by the weight I had been carrying.

A subtle release has been occurring since our session, and I feel I now have much greater access to my inner wisdom and higher self. I’ve also been able to set important boundaries with people from whom I had previously tolerated unhealthy behavior.

I feel much more inner authority, and life feels a bit easier. I am hopeful for what lies ahead.

— Jenn Tasnine Savage

Mystic, Intuitive Guide & Spiritual Healer

Before the session, I felt overwhelmed by emotional and spiritual heaviness, stuck in patterns I couldn’t break. After the Ancestral Constellations session, I felt a powerful shift—lighter, with an emotional release that wasn’t sad but deeply freeing. The session illuminated my family’s dynamics and the ancestral ties that were holding me back. It was eye-opening and affirming.

I’ve noticed lasting changes in my attitude and how I relate to family. I highly recommend this transformative work to anyone ready to heal and move forward in their lives. Tanya is an amazing facilitator, with incredible insight and depth.
